Here, you can find all the resources you need to bring GEMS to your school, including example presentations and projects that showcase our successful initiatives and inspire your STEM journey.
1.FIND AND CONNECT TO AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Reach out to local elementary schools and establish a partnership
The school you choose can be based off location to campus or reaching a population that is underserved in the STEM community
2. Gather Volunteers and Set a Schedule
Recruit passionate volunteers who are committed to making a difference in STEM education. Arrange weekly sign-ups through sign-up genius or another resource. Decide if volunteers will pay dues to fund the supplies or sign up to bring supplies for service hours.
3. Decide on Projects
Brainstorm and plan engaging STEM projects that align with the students' curriculum and interests. Make sure the projects are hands-on and interactive to maintain student interest. 4. Create Presentations
Develop clear, informative, and interactive presentations to complement your projects. Use visuals and demonstrations to make complex STEM concepts accessible to young students. Practice delivering the presentations to ensure clarity and engagement. Click to button to see our example presentations!
