Founded by Delaney Davidson and Emma Tamayo, Girls Empowered by Math and Science (G.E.M.S.) is an established student organization with the mission to increase the number of females in STEM by targeting the hungry minds of third through elementary girls through stimulating science projects that each relate to women in STEM.

We currently visit two elementary schools in Gainesville, FL every week. We also perform weekly visits to three other elementary schools around the nation. Each visit consist of a thrilling science experiment and discussion on a female in the STEM field to engage 3rd through 5th grade girls in science.
